Orthodox Women Rabbis in the US
***Research Completed***
This comparative ethnographic research project explores the contemporary phenomenon of Orthodox female rabbis. Starting in 2016, I conducted interviews and observations with women who have been ordained, rabbis training women, the rabbis hiring women for their communities, and with the spouses of women who have been ordained. I conducted focus groups for members of the congregations where women serve, and I observed in their educational institutions. This research was approved by the IRB at Rutgers University [Pro2018002354]
